Shawna Ueyama’s clinical areas of interest include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Tic Disorders, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She also enjoys treating Anxiety Disorders and Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors such as skin picking and hair pulling. She utilized evidence-based treatments and enjoys working with all age groups.
She received training at the Center for Autism Research and Treatment at UCLA and the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center at Rutgers University. She also trained at a Tourette specialty clinic and is trained in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). She utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in her assessment and treatment of individuals with autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviors for which she also provides parent training. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. She is a PEERS® Young Adult certified trainer.
Shawna received her B.S. in Psychology from Yale University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
